Take a look at any one of those people and you know that they need another job as a matter of urgency. The look on their faces isn't the look that you get when your job is getting on your nerves a bit or you're just having a stressful day. It's the look that you get when your job is sucking your soul out day by day. The look that you get when you can no longer enjoy your Sunday evening because you know that you're less than 24 hours away from another working week. The look you get when you are quite literally counting down the seconds before you can go home on the Friday. That's what the wrong job does to you.
And no-one should have to settle for that. That's the kind of thing that'll make you ill in the long run. The graduate jobs market is tough, everyone knows that, but that doesn't mean that you should drop every expectation you ever had. Don't settle for a job that will make you profoundly miserable. Better to be unemployed, and I don't say that lightly.
