Year's Biggest Full Moon

The full moon Friday night will be the biggest one of the year as Earth's natural satellite reaches its closest point to our planet.
Earth, the moon and the sun are all bound together by gravity, which keeps us going around the sun and keeps the moon going around us as it goes through phases. The moon makes a trip around Earth every 29.5 days. But the orbit is not a perfect circle.
The moon's average distance from us is about 238,855 miles (384,400 km). Friday night it will be just 221,560 miles (356,567 km) away. It will be 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons during the year, according to NASA.
Tides will be higher Friday night, too. Earth's oceans are pulled by the gravity of the moon and the sun. So when the moon is closer, tides are pulled higher. Scientists call these perigean tides, because the moon's closest point to Earth is called perigee. The farthest point on the lunar orbit is called apogee.

Mystery solved: How bleach kills germs

Bleach has been killing germs for more than 200 years but U.S. scientists have just figured out how the cleaner does its dirty work. It seems that hypochlorous acid, the active ingredient in bleach, attacks proteins in bacteria, causing them to clump up much like an egg that has been boiled, a team at the University of Michigan reported in the journal Cell on Thursday. The discovery, which may better explain how humans fight off infections, came quite by accident.
"As so often happens in science, we did not set out to address this question," Ursula Jakob, who led the team, said in a statement.

The researchers had been studying a bacterial protein called heat shock protein 33, which is a kind of molecular chaperon that becomes active when cells are in distress, for example from the high temperature of a fever. In this case, the source of the distress was hypochlorous acid or hypochlorite.

Jakob's team figured out that bleach and high temperatures have very similar effects on proteins. When they exposed the bacteria to bleach, the heat shock protein became active in an attempt to protect other proteins in the bacteria from losing their chemical structure, forming clumps that would eventually die off.

"Many of the proteins that hypochlorite attacks are essential for bacterial growth, so inactivating those proteins likely kills the bacteria," Marianne Ilbert, a postdoctoral fellow in Jakob's lab, said in a statement.

The researchers said the human immune system produces hypochlorous acid in response to infection but the substance does not kill only the bacterial invaders. It kills human cells too, which may explain how tissue is destroyed in chronic inflammation.
"Hypochlorous acid is an important part of host defense," Jakob said. "It's not just something we use on our countertops."

Biggest Singles of All Times

The biggest selling single of all time in the United States has sold almost twice as many as its closest competition. In 1997, Elton John released a remake of his classic 1973 song "Candle In The Wind" with new lyrics that paid homage to Diana, Princess of Wales after her untimely death. This single sold over 11 million copies in the United States. An incredible figure.

Unfortunately, "Candle In The Wind" is not available for streaming via Rhapsody at this time, so it is not included in the final playlist here.

So what are the runners up to "Candle In The Wind 1997"? Well, only two have broken the 6 million mark ("A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis Presley & "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down"), and only 12 have cracked the 4 million mark. (Please note that I am speaking only of sales in the USA).

A "single" is a song recording that has been marketed for sale as a unit, usually with a second track, or "b-side". For the most part singles also appear on a full-length album and tend to be the track(s) a record company feels have the best chance for massive sales and airplay.

All the songs in this playlist have sold over 4 million copies as a single in America. Some will surprise you, many will not. Are you one of the millions that bought one of these as a single? What's your favorite? Marvin Gaye gets my vote...

10 top ugly buildings and monument

Travel can open your eyes to some of the world's most beautiful sights and buildings -- and to some of the ugliest. Web site VirtualTourist.com (www.virtualtourist.com) has come up with a list of "The World's Top 10 Ugliest Buildings and Monuments" according to their editors and readers.

"Some of these picks have all the charm of a bag of nails while others are just jaw-dropping in their complexity. Love them or hate them, the list is certainly entertaining," said General manager Giampiero Ambrosi.
1. Boston City Hall; Boston, Massachusetts
While it was hip for it's time, this concrete structure now gets routinely criticized for its dreary facade and incongruity with the rest of the city's more genteel architecture. Luckily, it's very close to more aesthetically pleasing attractions.

2. Montparnasse Tower; Paris, France
While it's almost universally agreed that this ominous stick is a blight on the landscape of the world's most stunning city, its detractors admit that there is one very good reason to take in the view from the building's observation deck: it's the only place you can go to get a view of the city without it.

3. LuckyShoe Monument; Tuuri, Finland
It may be over-the-top, but there is something to be said for the giant, golden horseshoe that looms over Finland's second-largest shopping center. The shoe, and, in fact, the entire town in which it is situated, is said to bring good luck.

4. Metropolitan Cathedral; Liverpool, England
The people who work here must be sick of the space capsule jokes. Even those who find the building's shell a bit "spacey," have to admit the circular interior is pretty spectacular.

5. Port Authority Bus Terminal; New York City, New York
Those who pass by this iron monstrosity might be tempted to ask about a completion date, but alas, this is the finished product.

6. Torres de Colon; Madrid, Spain
Like a set of giant salt-and-pepper shakers, these matching towers loom over the city to the dissatisfaction of many area residents. The buildings are also known as "El Enchufe" or "The Plug" for the plug-like structure that holds them together.

7. Liechtenstein Museum of Fine Arts; Vaduz, Liechtenstein
Some feel the building's minimalist box design is a triumph, others say it's an eyesore.

8. Scottish Parliament Building; Edinburgh, Scotland
Stone, oak, and bamboo are part of the make-up of the Scottish Parliament, a building that is the subject of much debate.

9. Birmingham Central Library; Birmingham, England
One look and it's easy to see how this genre of architecture came to be known as the "Brutalist" style. Not surprisingly, the issue of its possible demolition has been looming for years.

10. Peter the Great Statue; Moscow, Russia
Some 15 stories high, the larger-than-life monument was designed by controversial artist, Zurab K. Tsereteli, whose statue of Christopher Columbus was repeatedly rejected by the United States.

Olga Kurylenko - The New Bond Girl

Olga Kostyantynivna Kurylenko (Ukrainian: Ольга Костянтинівна Куриленко; born November 14, 1979) is a Ukrainian model and actress. She is best known for being the Bond girl in the 22nd James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

Olga Kurylenko was born in Berdyansk, Ukrainian SSR (now Ukraine) on November 14, 1979. Her mother, Marina Alyabusheva, is an art teacher of Russian descent, and her father, Konstantin Kurylenko, is Ukrainian. When Olga was three years old her parents divorced, leaving her to be raised by her mother. Olga rarely had contact with her father, meeting him for the first time when she was 8 years old, and later again when she was 13. In 2000, Kurylenko married French fashion photographer Cedric Van Mol, but the couple divorced four years later. In 2006 she married American mobile phone accessory entrepreneur Damian Gabriel Neufeld. They divorced in late 2007. Kurylenko has lived in Paris since leaving Ukraine in 1996 to pursue her modeling career.

The fact she is the first Bond girl from a post-Soviet state got mixed reactions in the post-Soviet countries. The Saint-Petersburg based Communist group KPLO has accused her of "moral and intellectual betrayal" in starring in a film about the "enemy of the Soviet people" (meaning James Bond), but the mayor of Berdyansk has suggested naming a street after her and she met Ukraine's First Lady Kateryna Yushchenko in President Yushchenko's family country house

5 Things You Didn't Know About James Bond

The timeless James Bond is everyone’s favorite spy, and he's been successfully killing bad guys, scoring beautiful women and saving the world on the big screen since 1962’s Dr. No. When he released Casino Royale in 1953, English novelist Ian Fleming could never have imagined the heights of popularity his 007 character would reach. Since then, Bond has been played by six different actors in more than 20 movies and has appeared in cartoons, radio programs and video games. Yet, despite all this exposure, we’ve found five things you probably didn’t know about James Bond.

1- James Bond was inspired by an American zoologist

To come up with his Bond character, Fleming pooled traits from several people he knew and had read about. In naming his soon-to-be famous spy, Fleming picked James Bond after the famed bird expert with the same name. Bond wrote the acclaimed Birds of the West Indies, considered by many experts to be the definitive book on Caribbean birds. To come up with Bond’s cool demeanor, Fleming took attributes from real-life spies Sidney Reilly and Sir William Stephenson, as well as popular jazz composer Hoagy Carmichael. In fact, Fleming, who worked in British naval intelligence, also channeled his former peers in the creation of his iconic character.

2- Bond was created on summer vacation

Agent 007 may have never materialized had Fleming not bargained with one of his bosses. Specifically, when Fleming applied for a job with Kemsley Newspapers, owned by the famed London Sunday Times, he asked that he be granted two months of vacation each year. His request was approved, and each year from 1953 until his death in 1964, Fleming used those months to write a different Bond novel while vacationing at his Jamaican estate. The estate’s name? Goldeneye.

3- Bond has a drink every 24.3 minutes

It’s not uncommon for the world’s best spy to crash the most lavish parties around the world, and while he’s there, he might as well have a drink if it’s offered. Bond’s staple is the classic vodka martini, shaken, not stirred, but he’s also been known to sample other drinks. In the Bond films up to Casino Royale, Bond is seen to consume 114 drinks -- the equivalent of one every 24.3 minutes. Interestingly enough, he drinks champagne more than anything (35 glasses) and only enjoys one beer. In the Bond novels, he drinks a total of 317 alcoholic drinks -- one every seven pages, on average. Though he may enjoy the occasional drink, Bond has steered clear of smoking since 2002’s Die Another Day -- which was the last time he smoked a cigar.

4- There are only seven 00s

You’re forgiven if you were under the impression that Bond’s MI6 organization was fully stocked with agents. Throughout the movies, we learn that Bond is one of just seven 00 agents spying for the British, but he has the best knack for staying alive. In different movies, we’ve see the deaths of 002, 003, 004, and 009. Agent 006, believed killed, returns as the villain in GoldenEye before he’s disposed of. Besides Bond, only the unnamed 008 proves to be a skilled agent. He’s mentioned several times as Bond’s replacement should he die or be pulled off a mission for insubordination. It’s unclear why no 001 or 005 have ever been mentioned.

5- Bond became a 00 at the age of 38

In each movie, we learn a little more about not only Bond, but also his background -- and it all amounts to what would be a very impressive resume. A decorated serviceman, Bond attended the University of Geneva, served in the Royal Navy and later joined the special forces. While there, he was successful in several key missions across the globe. Still needing a challenge, Bond joined MI6 at the age of 30, and 8 years later received the prestigious 00 status, granting him a licence to kill for his country. More than just a typical action hero, the cerebral Bond holds a degree in Oriental languages, is fluent in English, French, German, Italian, and Russian, and can get by with passable Greek, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese.

WARCRAFT - The Next Target from Hollywood?

With Mark Wahlberg's noir video game flick Max Payne debuting atop the box-office chart, Hollywood is once again clamoring to find other game properties to slap on celluloid. It's a risky gamble -- for every Tomb Raider blockbuster lies a thousand House of the Dead flops.
So if you're going to turn a video game into a film, it helps if you're already good at this sort of thing. And it doesn't hurt if you pick as popular a game as possible.
It's no wonder, then, that gamers and cinephiles alike are excited at the news of Spider-Man director Sam Raimi praising the big-screen possibilities of beloved multiplayer game, World of Warcraft. In a spirited MTV article exploring the problems behind video game movies, Raimi weighed in by explaining why games tend to be tougher to turn into compelling flicks than comics.

"In the world of video games, it's usually more of an environment or a scenario, not character-based ... but they certainly could [be better]. There's 'World of Warcraft' -- what an awesome video game! It has such great, adventurous characters in it and such fantastic landscapes and rules. ... You could make a brilliant 'World of Warcraft' movie -- as fine as any of the best superhero movies -- if you had the right writers and directors."

5 Brain Exercises for Him

Many men are devoted to exercise to bulk up their bodies, but the phrase “use it or lose it” applies to more than just the muscles in our bodies -- it also applies to the neural pathways and connections in our brains. There are a variety of exercises and activities that can successfully work each of the brain’s five major cognitive functions on a daily basis. In addition to the tasks you can perform daily, you can also train your brain with HAPPYneuron online brain games and a personalized brain fitness program. Our minds consist of five main cognitive functions:

1. memory,
2. attention,
3. language,
4. visual-spatial skills,
5. Executive function.

It’s important to challenge, stimulate and effectively exercise all five areas to stay mentally sharp as our brains age. Here are 5 daily brain exercises that can help you do this.

1- Memory
Memory plays a crucial role in all cognitive activities, including reading, reasoning and mental calculation. There are several types of memory at work in the brain. Taken together, these are the cognitive skills we may notice most when they begin to fail. To maintain a good memory, you need to train for it, which can be easier than you think. Listening to music is not only enjoyable, but by choosing a song you don’t know and memorizing the lyrics, you boost the level of acetylcholine, the chemical that helps build your brain, and improve your memory skills. Challenge yourself even more by showering or getting dressed in the dark or using your opposite hand to brush your teeth. These challenges help build new associations between different neural connections of the brain.Improve your memory with this HAPPYneuron game.

2- Attention
Attention is necessary in nearly all daily tasks. Good attention enables you to maintain concentration despite noise and distractions and to focus on several activities at once. We can improve our attention by simply changing our routines. Change your route to work or reorganize your desk -- both will force your brain to wake up from habits and pay attention again. As we age, our attention span can decrease, making us more susceptible to distraction and less efficient at multitasking. By combining activities like listening to an audio book with jogging or doing math in your head while you drive forces your brain to work at doing more in the same amount of timeImprove your attention with this HAPPYneuron game.

3- Language
Language activities will challenge our ability to recognize, remember and understand words. They also exercise our fluency, grammatical skills and vocabulary. With regular practice, you can expand your knowledge of new words and much more easily retrieve words that are familiar. For example, if you usually only thoroughly read the sports section, try reading a few in-depth business articles. You’ll be exposed to new words, which are easier to understand when read in context or easier to look up on a dictionary site if you are reading the news online. Take time to understand the word in its context, which will help you build your language skills and retrieve the word more readily in front of your boss in the future. Improve your language skills with this HAPPYneuron game.

4- Visual-Spatial
We live in a colorful, three-dimensional world. Analyzing visual information is necessary to be able to act within your environment. To work this cognitive function, try walking into a room and picking out five items and their locations. When you exit the room, try to recall all five items and where they were located. Too easy? Wait two hours and try to remember those items and their locations. The next time you’re waiting on your coworker or friend to arrive, try this mental exercise. Look straight ahead and note everything you can see both in front of you and in your peripheral vision. Challenge yourself to recall everything and write it down. This will force you to use your memory and train your brain to focus on your surroundings.Improve your visual-spatial skills with this HAPPYneuron game.

5- Executive Function
Without even realizing it, you use your logic and reasoning skills on a daily basis to make decisions, build up hypotheses and consider the possible consequences of your actions. Activities in which you must define a strategy to reach a desired outcome and calculate the right moves to reach the solution in the shortest possible time are actually fun activities you do daily -- like social interaction and, yes, video games. Engaging in a brief visit with a friend boosts your intellectual performance by requiring you to consider possible responses and desired outcomes. Video games require strategy and problem-solving to reach a desired outcome -- like making it to the final level. “It’s not just Halo, honey; I’m exercising my executive brain functions!”Improve your executive function skills with this HAPPYneuron game.

Cerebral workout
As we age, it’s important to flex our mental muscles as well as our physiques. Now that you’re aware of the five main cognitive functions and how to exercise them, it will be easy to find daily activities that will help you break a mental sweat and keep your brain in shape. If you need a little structured help, HAPPYneuron has fun and challenging games to work the brain in all five areas, as well as a virtual coach to serve as a personal trainer and ensure you get the most optimal brain workout for you.

World record sandwich? Iranians eat evidence

Iran failed Friday to register what it said would be the world's largest sandwich in the Guinness book of World Records after people rushed forward and began eating it -- before it was measured.
Event organizers had planned to stuff the 1,500-meter-long sandwich with 700 kg of ostrich meat and 700 kg of chicken, and display it in a park in the capital Tehran.
But as the sandwich was being measured, chaos ensued. The giant snack was gone in minutes, a Reuters witness said, leaving the three Guinness representatives present with a dilemma.
One of the event's organizers said video footage of the sandwich would be sent to Guinness officials.
"We still think the sandwich will be recorded in the Guinness book because of all the evidence and footage that we will send them," Parvin Shariati said.

AirAsia offer 5,000 FREE Seats on Kuching-Singapore

Wowww...Hurry up!!!
Low-cost carrier AirAsia is offering 5,000 free seats on its new Kuching-Singapore route that starts next month.
Tickets for the route went on sale on the airline's website on midnight Wednesday with the free seats available for booking between now and Oct 19.
AirAsia chief executive Datuk Tony Fernandes said the Kuching-Singapore route would be a huge boost to tourism in Sarawak.
"We're currently doing a very aggressive marketing campaign in Singapore and our first flight will be on Nov 1.
"We will start with one flight a day and from March onwards we will increase the frequency," he said at a media briefing here yesterday.
On the Kuching-Macau flight, which will be suspended on Oct 26 due to low passenger load, Fernandes said AirAsia would look into reinstating it in three months' time.
"We will work closely with the Sarawak Tourism Board to promote the state to Macau and south China and we hope to reinstate this route within the next two to three months," he said.
He also announced that AirAsia will increase the frequency of its Kuala Lumpur-Bintulu route from seven to 11 flights a week and Kuching-Bintulu from seven to 14 flights weekly beginning Oct 26.
Meanwhile, state Urban Development and Tourism Minister Datuk Michael Manyin welcomed the new route to Singapore, saying it would boost connectivity and help bring in more tourists to the state.
To further develop the tourism industry, he said Sarawak's tourism authorities would work with their Sabah counterparts to jointly promote the two states.
"For example, we will promote Mulu and Mount Kinabalu together as both have been listed as Unesco World Heritage Sites.
"We will also promote our indigenous festivals together, with plans for tourists to go to Sabah, first for Kaamatan, before continuing on to Sarawak for Gawai Dayak," he said.

Fuel prices could go down further: Shahrir

KUALA LUMPUR: There is a chance of a further reduction in pump prices if the average world crude oil price for this month is below US$104 per barrel, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad.
“If the world crude oil price continues to drop and averages at below US$104 per barrel for October there is a chance we can reduce further the pump prices for November.
“If it doesn’t then there will be no change in prices,” he said Wednesday at the Hari Raya open house hosted by the Prime Minister and his Muslim cabinet ministers at the Putra World Trade Centre.
The last fuel price review was done on Sept 24 when the Government announced a 10sen reduction bringing the prices of petrol and diesel to RM2.45 and RM2.40 per litre respectively.
On the shortage of fuel in some petrol stations, Shahrir said the reason was because the station operators could not make their cash before delivery (CBD) payments for their fuel supply as banks were closed for the current Hari Raya holiday and weekends.
“The stations should come up with a business system which addresses the problem of banks being closed during public holidays, festive seasons and weekends,” he said.
Shahrir also said that station operators should not blame the shortage on the Government’s announcement of fuel price reduction. He said this was unacceptable.
The Petroleum Dealers Association of Malaysia had said that dealers had been reluctant to increase their stock in advance due to speculation that fuel prices would be cut.
Shahrir said the operators were being selfish by asking the Government to delay the announcement of the fuel price reduction.
“The Government will not delay it because we need to immediately give the benefit to consumers,” he said.
Shahrir said it was unreasonable for the operators to say they were making losses due to the price reduction, and pointed out that the reduction was also followed by an increased demand for fuel.
“The operators made less profit because of the price reduction but no losses. Their margin is 12sen per liter so if we reduce pump prices by 10sen per liter they still make 2sen. It’s making less profit, not being in a dire state,” he said.
He added that the ministry would investigate to see whether there was sabotage, deliberate shortage of supply or if there was a protest.

The Numerology of Names

There is a reason why you have your name and it’s not because it sounded classy in the gossip pages of the New York Post (which is where my mom found my name). Your birth name paired with numerology can enlighten you on what motivates you in life, what warrants your true expression, and the lasting impression you leave on others when you exit a room.

It started with Pythagoras, the Greek mathematician who invented the a2 + b2 = c2 Pythagorean Theorem, the only equation I remember from eleventh grade geometry. In 6th century BCE, Pythagoras combined mysticism with mathematics to construct a quotient about the future of one’s life. He coined it Pythagorean numerology and used numbers assigned to the letters in one’s full name (as well as using the numbers in one’s date of birth). The numerology determined what innate abilities one was given at birth to determine what might happen late in life, and it has become the source for modern numerology today.

How Numerology WorksWhen working with a name, numbers have corresponding letters. The numbers are added up and broken down into single digits in order to give you your final Destiny Number.

The Number Assignments
1= A, J, S
2= B, K, T
3= C, L, U
4= D, M, V
5= E, N, W
6= F, O, X
7= G, P, Y
8= H, Q, Z
9= I, R

How to Find Your Destiny Number?

(1) Write down your full name (first, middle, and last). This is the name you were given at birth—not your married name, etc.

(2) Using the table above, write down the number matched to each letter in each name (i.e. AMANDA = 1, 4, 1, 5, 4, 1).

(3) Add the numbers together for each name (i.e. 1+4+1+5+4+1= 16).

(4) You will most likely get a double digit for each name; break down each double digit number you get by adding the first and second digit to get one number (i.e. from the 16 above, add together 1+6 to get 7, which is the number for my first name).

(5) Add up the final numbers you get from each name (i.e. my middle name number is 8 and my last name number is 10, so 7+8+10 = 25).

(6) Once again, break down any double-digit numbers into one digit to get your final Destiny Number (i.e. from the 25 above, add together 2+5 to get 7, which is my final Destiny Number).
In numerology, the basic vibrations are numbers 1 through 9, but the numbers 11 and 22 are master numbers and should not be reduced to a single digit since these are master vibrations.
There are plenty of books and Web sites that will give you a thorough analysis of your Destiny Number, but here’s a basic rundown on what your Destiny Number means for you:

1 is determined, autonomous, and self-reliant
2 is loyal, tactful, and analytical
3 is passionate, positive, and fun-loving
4 is sensible, traditional, and serious
5 is bold, temperamental, and sensual
6 is responsible, cautious, and domestic
7 is spiritual, unconventional, and somewhat reclusive
8 is money-oriented, assured, and authoritative
9 is versatile, compassionate, and worldly
11 is enlightened, deep, and high-strung
22 is ambitious, a global planner, and motivated

I looked further into my 7, and found this interpretation through About Numerology.
“A Destiny number of 7 means you will find fulfillment through teaching others. By pursuing an ongoing quest for knowledge and then sharing your findings with your fellow man ... be it through teaching, writing or some other means ... you will bring joy into your own life. By following your destiny, your life should be an interesting life, one full of the exploration of science, mysteries, the occult, or other fascinating fields.”

When I think about the Amanda in me that I know, the explanation above sums me right up. Perhaps there’s more to numbers than I originally thought.

Understand Sexual Desire of Dominant Women

If you are like most men out there, you probably have no idea what makes those head-strong, powerful and intelligent career women “tick”. I am referring to those women you see in power suits, managing a company or running her own, who seem completely invincible and on top of the world. These women know what they want in life and they do not stop until they get it. They are fast talkers, they can close a deal with a simple wink of the eye, they can make a male subordinate cry with the slightest of disappointed looks and they will never settle for anything less than perfect sexual equality. Furthermore, I think we can all agree that these are the sexiest women out there. Men just love to imagine what they have on underneath those designer suits.
The common train of thought and logic would lead you to assume that these women are just as domineering in the bedroom behind closed doors. Generally speaking, this is actually the furthest thing from the truth. Every person out there is different with regards to their personality in life and what turns them on after hours, and there will be many variations and deviances from the norm. However, most of the fierce and passionate women in the workforce love nothing more than to come home and be completely subjugated and ravaged by a very strong and masculine man.
In all sexual relationships there must be a dominant and a submissive. Two dominants or two submissives can get together and have magnificent sexual experiences, but there will be a certain something lacking emotionally. Each one will feel less psychologically satisfied because they will not be able to express their dominant or submissive traits quite a comfortably as they should. Pop culture tends to assume that people who are submissive during sex are doing so because this is how they want to be perceived in life, they want to be dominated. Even old psychology books will back up this old principle. Fortunately, the psychology of arousal and the logic that lies behind fantasies and the roles we play during lovemaking has been virtually re-written by Dr. Michael J. Bader, the leading psychoanalyst in this delicious area of expertise. To really sum up his new theories in a very rough manner, our sexual desires are almost the opposite of who we are in normal everyday life scenarios. His theories are applied to every sexual thought, idea and fantasy and not just dominant and subordinate behaviors. His new book made me quite hungry with dirty little thoughts.
A dominant women enjoys being submissive in bed because she is able to achieve stimulation. It is impossible to feel any kind of guilt, worry, or anxiety and become sexually aroused at the same time. Professional career women very often feel like they are too overbearing towards men, too controlling and too dominant. That causes a certain level of stress. This stress is completely alleviated by becoming the submissive during intercourse thereby allowing her to achieve stimulation. These and other new brilliant revelations have created a paradigm shift in the psychology of sex. And I think it is divine to have an in depth understanding of what makes the other person scream with hot blooded delight.
Of course, every individual will have a specific dirty little secret which turns them on and no two women are the same. This article applies to many strong business women, but not all. It becomes important to discuss what makes you turned on with your lover or find a reciprocal partner. But now many of you men know our dirty little secret. If you are the type of man who enjoys a dominant woman, the same logic applies to the quiet little librarian with the cat eyeglasses on. She just might be a dom-femme complete with a torture chamber in her home where she can break her male slaves. And don’t forget ladies …… this same idea applies to men!

How to succeed in your destiny? What do you need to do to be successful? If you are searching the net you may feel that you need to sign up for the latest affiliate marketing programme. Or perhaps you need to be a member of the latest MLM scheme. On the other hand it may be that you need to follow the directions of the latest web marketing guru. Each of theses routes give you the opportunity of being successful but without courage, zeal and enthusiasm you will join the ranks of the 80% plus who fail.
You need the courage to identify your dream. Your passion. You need the courage to stick with the process while you concretise your focus and then to stay the course when others are telling you that it is a stupid idea and will never work.
To start your own business is difficult enough. It becomes virtually impossible when you select something that only looks good or looks interesting and you don’t have passion for. To be successful you must identify your true calling in life. Your passion. Can you imagine what the result would be if you allowed your passion to be your focus in life? So. What is it that turns you on? What motivates you? What do you constantly talk to yourself and others about? What excites you?
Once you have identified your focus, your calling, you now need zeal and enthusiasm to carry it through. To be successful. Zeal and enthusiasm is more than determination. It’s about commitment, fun, enjoyment. Something you want to do because you believe in it. A natural way to reach your aim and objective in life. A belief that means you are willing to live with your dream 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You need to see life the way a sportsperson does. Can you commit to working day in day out with the sole purpose of working towards your dream? Can you keep going when nothing appears to be happening? Can you hold onto the slightest increase in your ability as a sign of success? Are you dedicated to continually improving your personal best? Can you believe in yourself and your passion enough to rethink the formula when the business reaches crisis point? Can you step back and honestly analyse your actions when you have just lost a potential sale or the time you spent on a marketing campaign was wasted? Can you be a totally focussed individual?
However, zeal and enthusiasm alone are useless. It’s like driving a car at full speed without knowing the destination. Alone they will not bring you success, but coupled with an aim and objective, a focus, a passion, a desire to constantly improve and courage then, like the sportsperson, the world is your oyster.
When you do something you love doing, time is immaterial and happiness and personal growth naturally follow. You work because you want to and enjoy it. You are fulfilling your passion and boy it shows. People buy your enthusiasm, your excitement. They can see the excitement in your eyes; they can read it in your writings.
Look at your business and materials:
Do they show excitement, passion?
Would you buy from you, your site, if you were a customer?
The secret to success in life is simple:
If you have the power of determination in your thoughts, every task is possible.
Those who are successful in their chosen field have an extraordinary degree of self confidence. They know they are living their passion. The only thing on their minds is to be the best. To give their best at every opportunity. They know that the key to success is their mental toughness.
What about you? There are no shortcuts. You can only be successful because you have a passion and the zeal and enthusiasm to work hard and conquer your inappropriate habits. The talent to focus and refocus your activities. The courage to stand out from the crowd. It’s not the money that drives people to success it’s the game, it’s wanting to be the best. Do you have what it takes? Can you do what you need to do to be successful?

Coffee May Lower Risk of Women Uterus Cancer

Women who drink a lot of coffee may have less risk of developing cancer of the uterus, a Japanese study said Monday.

The study led by Japan's health ministry monitored some 54,000 women aged 40 to 69 over about 15 years, during which time 117 women developed cancer in the womb, according to the medical team.
The researchers at Japan's National Cancer Center divided the women into four groups by the amount of coffee they drank.
They found the group of women who drank more than three cups of coffee every day were more than 60 percent less likely to develop uterine cancer than those who had coffee fewer than two times a week, the study said.
"Coffee may have effects in lowering insulin levels, possibly curbing the risks of developing womb cancer," the study said.
The medical team also studied the effects of drinking green tea, but did not find any link to uterine cancer.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control, uterine cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women.

Marital Crisis Caused by Male Genes ?

Swedish researchers found that what women have suspected all along: that marital woes can often be attributed to men's genetic make-up, according to a study linking a common male gene to relationship problems.

The gene variant, which is present in four of 10 Swedish men, can explain why some men are more prone to stormy relationships and bond less to their wives or girlfriends, a team of researchers at Stockholm's Karolinska Institute said.
"There are, of course, many reasons why a person might have relationship problems, but this is the first time that a specific gene variant has been associated with how men bond to their partners," Hasse Walum, one of the researchers, said in a statement.
The team found that men who carry one or two copies of a variant of the gene often behave differently in relationships than men who lack the gene variant, called allele 334.
"The incidence of allele 334 was statistically linked to how strong a bond a man felt he had with his partner," the statement said.
Men who had two copies of allele 334 were twice as likely to have had a marital or relationship crisis in the past year than those who lacked the gene variant, it said.
Their wives or girlfriends also noticed the difference.
"Women married to men who carry one or two copies of allele 334 were, on average, less satisfied with their relationship than women married to men who didn't carry this allele," Walum said.
He stressed however that the effect of the genetic variation was relatively modest and could not be used to predict with any real accuracy how someone would behave in a future relationship.
The study surveyed 550 twins and their partners or spouses in Sweden.
Martin Ingvar, a professor of neurophysiology at Karolinska Institute, said the results were "very exciting."
"These are original findings which shed light on the fact that all of our behaviours are influenced by both nature and nurture. Even complex, cultural social phenomens such as marriage are influenced by a person's genetic make-up," Ingvar said.
The gene in question controls the production of a molecule receptor for vasopressin, a hormone that is found in most mammals.
The same gene has previously been linked to monogamous behaviour in male voles, a mouselike rodent.
The researchers said they hoped greater knowledge of the effect of vasopressin on human relations could also help understand the causes of diseases characterised by problems with social interaction, such as autism.
The results of the study were published Tuesday in the US scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

Woman ! Wanna Flirt "Him" ?

In previous post, it's merely the skills for man who wanna flirt a woman. However, if you are a woman, things would be a bit different. Here's for the ladies:-

Flirting is a whole-body experience. It engages the eyes, tickles the mind, and awakens the senses. While you may think that flirting is something we learn, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that we are born knowing how to flirt. Flirting behaviors are exhibited by dozens of cultures and animals from birds to fruit flies.
Research into human mating behaviors at bars and clubs have revealed that successful flirtations all go through a similar sequence of events. Nonverbal cues such as arching brows, swaying hips, and tossing hair all cue a man that you're interested. Once one of you breaks the ice by speaking, the other person has the option of turning towards you, acknowledging your presence, or turning away.
If it's the former, and all goes well, your conversation will lead to deeper interest as both of you lean forward and your gazes wander from the face to other parts of the body. The sense of touch becomes involved as you touch his hand in empathy, or he puts an arm gently on your back to guide you through the crowd.
As the night wears on, your bodies will eventually become “synchronized.” In other words, your body position and movements will mimic the other person's. When he glances down, you will glance down. When you pick up your glass to take a sip, he will pick up his. At this point, you can congratulation yourself on a successful flirtation: you're both clearly interested, and it's time for exchanging phone numbers.
What does this research mean to us? It's all very well to know how flirtation works, but how can we nudge it along?
Today I'm going to give you three flirting techniques backed up by science that are guaranteed to get you to that initial conversation with a man.

1. The Best Flirtation Technique of All Time
First of all, what's the single most successful technique that women can use to invite a man to approach?
  • Ask for his help with something?
  • Toss your hair while gazing straight at him?
  • Dance seductively by yourself?
  • Give him a big smile?
Got your answer?
The winner, hands-down, is (d) Smile.
It's amazing that something so simple could have such an amazing effect, but men around the world will tell you the same thing. When men are getting up the courage to approach a woman, most will pick the average, friendly-looking girl over the beautiful, bored ice princess.
Approachability matters. A smile shows a man that you're friendly, that you're willing to acknowledge him, and that he won't have to fear getting rejected when he approaches you.
Plus, a smile puts us in our best light. Studies have shown that women with open, friendly body language are perceived as more attractive than women with closed, negative body language. Quite simply, a smile is the cheapest beauty treatment you can apply.

2. Do I See You?
Next, there's nothing more crucial to a developing flirtation than eye contact. This is where shyness can be a great hindrance. If you are too shy, embarrassed, or overwhelmed by butterflies to meet his gaze, he may think that you are rejecting him.
On the other end of the scale, a steady gaze is equally disconcerting. In the animal kingdom, a stare is a threatening nonverbal behavior, and human beings find it creepy. Someone who steals a glance at you is infinitely preferable to someone who checks you out brazenly without hiding his gaze.
Eye contact should be brief, a mere recognition that both of you see one another, and then ended by glancing down. After all, lowering your lashes can be as seductive as meeting his gaze in the first place, especially if it's accompanied by a shy smile. Up your seduction power by glancing at him again within thirty seconds to a minute after your first glance.

3. He Can't Flirt with You if He Can't Get to You!
Last of all, make sure that you are physically accessible to being approached! We often go out in groups, and there's nothing more intimidating to a man than a woman surrounded by a half-dozen of her best friends.
Very few men will feel comfortable braving the stares of your friends while he tries to chat you up, so if you are out with a group, give any secret admirers a chance to approach you when you're on your own. Excuse yourself to go to the bathroom, or go buy a round of drinks. Keep your body language open and scan the room with your eyes. Some women even dance by themselves to allow a man the opportunity to approach.
Similarly, don't be in such a hurry to get to your destination that you are gone before Mr. Perfect can raise his hand to wave you down. Take your time, enjoy the journey, and keep your eyes open and your head up. A woman who's strolling pleasantly and looking around her is much more approachable than a woman who's striding down the street, lost in thought.

Learn to Flirt

Flirting is not as dirty as you think.

Flirting is the way most people determine whether or not a member of the opposite sex is interested in them. Following is a quick outline on how you should go about the complex, sometimes fun, sometimes not so fun, task of flirting. It all beings with your approach.

The Approach
One person approaches the other. They move into closer physical proximity. This much is clear: NO approach equals NO possibility of initiating contact. You must approach!
Example: A woman sits down next to a man in a coffee shop, or a man stands near a woman in a dance club. This is the first step. Once you approach, you begin looking for the signs.

The Signs
The person who has been approached will always signal the other’s presence in some way…a sign. This signal is not like a train whistle, however, more a subtle body language which you can learn to recognize. For example, he or she simply may look up, move over to make room, nod slightly, or signal with a glancing eye contact.
A display of total obliviousness to the one who is approaching generally indicates lack of interest altogether. Don’t be discouraged. But if the one you approached shows absolutely no interest, then it’s time to re-group and try again. But let’s say the approach works. You have your positive acknowledgement, now what? Time to talk

The Verbal Exchange
The two people may then engage in a mild verbal exchange about impersonal, unimportant matters such as the weather or the scene around them. The key word here is MILD.
This is the classic place for the clever “line,” but cleverness is not required. At this point, a verbal exchange is not for the purpose of sharing valuable insights about life or determining philosophical compatibility. It is just a vehicle to further the developing contact.
Examples: Verbal overtures might include anything from “please pass the pickles” to “your looking great tonight”, to “have you seen the waitress?”. Without some form of verbal response, it is highly unlikely that the next step will occur. Let’s say all is going as planned. Time for body language.

Body Language
Over a period of time, a couple that has begun to talk may also begin to orient themselves physically to one another, to turn toward one another until, if all is goes well, they are fully facing one another. This is your goal.
This step can take minutes or hours . . . or weeks or months . . . to achieve. Yet, without this physical reorientation toward one another, not very much can ever happen, so give up on people who turn their back toward you for long periods of time! But if they don’t…

Touching
The woman or the man (most often the woman) touches the other in a light, fleeting way. Examples: A couple might accidentally brush their hands against one another while reaching for a drink, or the woman might pat the man on the arm in the middle of a shared joke. The exchange of very subtle, almost glancing touches may continue for some while, and if all goes well, can escalate into the casual affections shown by couples who are dating. If you’ve reached this point, then flirting has now become the beginning of a relationship. The Art of Flirting should always end with the beginning of a relationship. Now get out there and flirt.

The Art of Flirting is really the Art of making first contact. You only have one shot at making a great first impression. By following some of the guidelines we’ve established in this article, you should now be equipped to locate, approach, and ascertain whether or not your subtle flirting has opened the doors to a new and exciting relationship.

The Challenges of Today Logistic

The vigorousness of business globalization has activated the growth of logistic business. World wide entrepreneurs are seeking the faster, cheapest and more secure transportation and logistic ways to deliver their products to the users located in another side of the world. If you make a search in www.logisticsworld.com 's directory, there are 1,888 links displayed.
Since many companies had been setting up, urging to share portion of the cake, the core business of logistic has became more competitive and challenging. Here are some of the challenges I think are given the most impact to the shipping industry.

1. High Operation Cost due to Speculative Hike of Crude Oil.

The speculative hike of crude oil price in the world market had given a big impact to transportation cost. The price had once hit over USD 145/barrel, even though now is slightly dropped to USD 114/barrel. Most of the liner would try to absorb part of the burden to maitain competitive position. However, importers and exporters are still suffering from the additional cost.

2. Outstanding Services -- SPEED and Ability.

For certain consumer products, especially the electronic products, the new technology was introduced and published rapidly. Old models can be obsoleted very fast, means the life cycle of these products become very short. Thus, it is a NEED to minimize the transaction time of these products from manufacturers to the targeted market. This implemented to the raw materials also. Thus, in order to achieve the effectiveness of SPEED, logistic has became the main factor to look into. Those who is able provide the faster and cheapest solution, he will be the winner, sharing the large portion of the cake. Dare to remind that those intransit cargo either in the ocean or keeping in the port are devil operation to the exporters and importers. It's idle time. Therefore, an excel forwarder can minimize these idle time, and speed up the operation through below activities.

  • Proper Channel of Communication and Information. The forwarder must be informative to all the shipping schedule from various liners in the desire region or route, and able to prepare or find the optimize schedule to their customer. Flexibility to reallocate if any unschedule interruption taken place. For example, vssel delay, vessel omit the requested port, bad weather, and etc.
  • Custom clearance. Essential documents and good relationship with custom will help to accelerate the process. 1 or half day advance clearance would mean a lot to the importers.
  • Prompt reaction to unpredictable issue like road accident, hijacking, incomplete documents, contract expire, etc. Take road accident as an example, if a container was falled and the quality of the cargo are assumed to be affected. Sending back to exporter for retesting and insurance claiming procedure need to be carried out. The prompt reaction to these activities could ensure the good cargo (after retesting) being released back to the market earlier.

3. Availability of Shipping Equipments

Equipments are the most valuable assets to liners. Hugh numbers of equipment need to be assigned from one destination to another. Insufficient or not proper managing your equipments might cause you losing your competitive position in fast moving logistic line. That's why an additional charges (demurrage charge) will incur to those failed to return the container. And most liners also unwilling to share their equipments with each other, especially for limited equipment like reefer container (container which equips with temperature control).

4. Intangible Cost

Some shipments were not fully utilized the container space due to order quantity limitation. The extra space inside the container will become a waste and these cost will be equally absorb by the cargo, and indirectly increased the shipping cost per piece of product. Thus, many exporters if possible will try to use smaller container ( 20' in stead of 40' ), or combine the orders in one shipment, or arrange with LCL (Loose Cargo Load) in stead of full load. For long run cost saving, exporters might would like to redesign and improve their packing method to maximize the usage of container space.

I believe there are more challenging factors out there that I didn't describe here. If you are in this line, welcome to comment.

Therefore, after the lucky one is born, we will most properly turning 180 degree and become very aggressive on searching another opportunity similar to this. Then, unfortunately it is very high chances that many criminals will take this opportunity to set up a trap, and we will easily fall into the real coming scams. (Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not here to convince you joining the event. As mentioned earlier, I won't participate too. Not because I'm debt-free, but just I'm not a good risk taker).

Confused sea turtles march into restaurant

Here's a very odd news I'd pasted to share about the confusion baby turtles,

ROME (Reuters) - About 60 newly hatched sea turtles lost their way during their ritual passage to the sea and marched into an Italian restaurant instead, a conservation worker said on Monday.
The baby turtles -- which ended up under the tables of startled diners at the beachside restaurant -- were probably thrown off track and lured by the eatery's bright lights, said Antonio Colucci, who was called to help rescue the group.
"They saw the artificial lights and took the wrong route," said Colucci, who works on a turtle monitoring project for the conservation group WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature).
"The diners were at first quite curious and then someone alerted the coastal authorities."
The stranded turtles, which had hatched on a beach in the southern Italian region of Calabria, were released into the sea.
Female sea turtles nest on beaches and their offspring instinctively head to the sea after hatching from their eggs.

Why French Ladies Won't Get Fat?

Maybe one answer to the French Paradox – why French women don’t get fat – is because they know when to stop eating. Perhaps they pay more attention to internal cues such as whether they feel full, and they pay less attention to the external cues that can lead them to overeat (like the level of soup in a bowl).
To see if this was true, we had 282 Parisians and Chicagoans fill out questionnaires asking them how they decided it was time to stop eating a meal. Parisians reported that they usually stopped eating when they no longer felt hungry. Not our Chicagoans. They stopped when they ran out of a beverage, or when the television show they were watching was over. Yet the heavier a person was – American or French – the more they focused on these external cues to tell them when to stop eating and the less they focused on whether they felt full.
Do you eat until you’re not hungry or until all the food is gone?

5 Common Excuses for Not Exercising

Everybody know and understand well doing exercise is good for us, and we do agree that it should be parts of our daily activities. As initial, after inspired by muscle-man in magazine and TV, we do a lot of planning and searching for many useful guidance and information. We promised to ourselve that we will someday transform our body just like the model in the magazine. So, we bought many equipments, converted our store room, fixed the schedule, joint the gym house and appointed an experience instructor. In the first month, everything just went well.... but, second month, we were a bit shifted from our schedule... and slowly our equipments were laying with dust, store room turned back as it should be, schedule was blank or miss placed.... and our body still remain unshaped. We gave ourselve many excuses for not exercising.

Nike make a marvelous slogan - "Just Do It". Simple, but suums up a lot of things in our life. Even when we know something is good for us or that we should be getting our butt in gear, it can be extremely hard to motivate. We, as a species, have become masters of creating excuses. We find ways of procrastinating and getting out of so many seemingly basic ‘have tos’, ’shoulds’ and ‘need tos’. Unfortunately, the more often we make excuses, the easier it is to perpetuate. Creatures of habit, we get used to things, whether they are good for us or bad for us. A procrastinator myself, I thought it would be good to talk about excuses that are commonly used to get out of exercising. The five excuses below are pretty common, but I’m sure there are tons more out there to poke holes through.

1. I'm too busy recently, and I don't have time for exercise. May be this weekend, I could be free.
This is the absolute worst excuse, in deed very common. In fact, you should make time, in steed of delaying it. And, most properly by weekend, you would have another concrete reason for excuse. If you don’t prioritize exercise, you will never have enough time for it. Once you get used to making time, you’ll realize that you always have the time to fit in a workout. Whether it be squeezing in a brisk walk at lunch, scheduling ‘you time’ in your calendar or developing a daily routine that you can stick to, your time is yours. So use it wisely.

2. I'm too tired, I can't boost up any energy at all.
This is another very common excuses. When we finished our job, the pressure of dressing up and heading to gym was really killing. Most of the times, we would rationalize that missing one or two section would be still fine, or even several days in a row. Actually, this is not true. The reality is, that exercise can get you over ‘being tired’. Exercise is helpful with improving and maintaining stable energy levels throughout the day, regular sleep patterns and overall mood. Exercise also improves regularity and reduces incontinence, which can contribute to a feeling of sluggishness and being tired.

3. I don't feel well, I'm not fit for exercise today.
Well, if you are in the hospital, are excessively nauseous or have a fever, you probably shouldn’t be running a marathon. That said, a cold, allergies, a headache, menstrual pains or just ‘not feeling great’ shouldn’t stop you from breaking a sweat. Is a matter of fact, exercise can sometimes cure some of the most common ailments, including: hangovers and colds. Sweating, a form of detox, allows you to release toxins that are guilty of making you feel under the weather. So next time you have a sniffle, get out there and sweat your sniffles away.

4. It's too early or too late to do exercise.
When I realized I hated coming home to exercise, and could think of a million other things I’d rather do, I decided that I needed to buck up and get up in the morning to get in the workout. Yes, it was painful for two or three days, but now, I wouldn’t go back if you paid me. If you are a morning person, get up and get your exercise groove on in the AM. If you are a night owl, exercise at night (Although it is healthier to exercise in the morning, it is better to get the exercise in at night than to not get it in at all). Be sure, however, to leave a couple of hours in between your workout and going to bed so that you give your body enough ‘downtime’ to transition to sleep time.

5. I'm travelling, not convenient for exercising.
Granted, it can be more challenging to exercise when you are traveling, especially for business trip. But that doesn’t mean you can’t exercise. Here are some useful tips:

  • If you are staying at a hotel, try to stay at one that has a fitness center or gym.
  • If the hotel doesn’t have a gym, walk, jog or run outside. Make sure you bring appropriate clothing for the weather. And don’t forget your sneakers!!! Seriously, forgetting your workout clothes should not be another excuse.
  • Tuck some fitness DVDs into your suitcase. Play them on your laptop and exercise in your room.

So, remember the Nike slogan "Just Do It", don't granted ourselves with those excuses no more.
